WRE (World's Religions Education) education department in Sekolah Madania consists of Hinduism, Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism, and Jehovah's Witnesses. Sekolah Madania implements international-based curriculum aiming at pluralism and inclusivity to respect the differences that exist in the global community. Therefore, Sekolah Madania accommodates religion education for all students, including Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism, and Jehovah's Witnesses.
In the learning process of each religion, students do not just memorize the holy verses of the respective Holy Scriptures or simply understand the materials learnt, but they should be able to apply the values taught by their religion respectively in everyday life. Religious education in WRE is delivered in Indonesian twice a week with a duration of two periods in each session. In addition to the learning process that is done to achieve certain competencies, every day, when the Muslim students perform their Dzuhur prayer in congregation, non-Muslim students also gather at their religious education rooms to do various kinds of religious activities, such as watching motivational and inspirational videos, reciting prayers, doing reflection of the sacred texts, and performing weekly worship. The lessons learnt in their respective religious education sessions hopefully can help students to deepen their understanding of their convictions respectively as well as lead them to be good people who have high moral standard in accordance with religious precepts adhered. With the existence of several different religions in school, Madania students in WRE department are expected to build more inclusive pluralism and improve a high tolerance in the midst of differences that exist among them and in the world.
